TAG Heuer is returning to the Principality once again this year to celebrate the Monaco Grand Prix, for which it has been Official Watch since 2011. On this occasion, TAG Heuer hosted an exclusive soiree on the Seadream yacht moored in the port of Monaco and decked out in the brand's colours.
The brand's guests during this glamorous sporting weekend included Tom Brady — five-time Super Bowl winner with his team the New England Patriots and car enthusiast — and Bella Hadid — the supermodel with millions of followers. On the eve of the race, Tom Brady and Bella Hadid – dressed all in white – were joined on the boat by Paulina Vega Dieppa, Miss Universe 2014, Cadel Evans, 2011 Tour de France Winner and Friend of the Brand, Geri Halliwell, also Friend of the Brand and Daniel Ricciardo, driver of the Aston Martin Red Bull Racing Formula One team. Before boarding the boat, Daniel Ricciardo — who is always eager to try new things — accepted the challenge of catching a ball thrown at top speed by Tom Brady. The American showed extreme precision as he sent the ball straight into the hands of the Australian driver, who was on another boat 30 metres away! The celebrations then continued with a White Party, accompanied by the music of DJ Martin Solveig.
On the day of the race, the grid girls and grid boys wore connected watches on their wrists. For the first time in the history of the F1 Grand Prix, fans were able to support their favourite drivers by sending them a message via TAG Heuer's Instagram page. The most encouraging comments were then relayed to the drivers on big screens and on the connected watches of the grid girls and boys.
Led away from the pole position, Daniel Ricciardo won his first Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday and claimed his seventh career win. He crossed the finish line ahead of Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) and Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes).
