Bucherer Opening of a boutique in the Oberpollinger department store

Bucherer is further expanding its presence in Munich by opening a watch and jewellery department in the Oberpollinger department store.

The range on offer in the innovatively designed store area includes 16 renowned luxury watch brands, the Bucherer Fine Jewellery collections and collections from four other jewellery brands. To mark the opening, Bucherer will be presenting the spectacular Harley-Davidson Blue Edition, the newest – and most unusual – member of the Bucherer Blue Editions watch collection.

The visionary Oberpollinger store belongs to the KaDeWe Group, with which Bucherer has maintained a partnership for many years. Bucherer also operates a luxury watch and jewellery department at KaDeWe’s Alsterhaus department store in Hamburg.

The new Bucherer store in the traditional Oberpollinger department store on Neuhauser Strasse in Munich will occupy an area of 380 square metres on the ground floor. With this step, the world’s largest watch and jewellery retailer is further expanding its presence in the fastest-growing and most economically successful metropolis in Europe. Bucherer is already represented by a flagship store at Residenzstrasse 2, a shop on Neuhauser Strasse and a Rolex and Patek Philippe boutique at Residenzstrasse 11.

“With the new store in Oberpollinger, we are extending the target group that has access to the Bucherer brand. The innovative store area is the perfect place in which to discover Bucherer’s diverse watch and jewellery range or simply to linger and spend some time,” says Guido Zumbühl, CEO of the Bucherer Group.

Designed to a very high standard and featuring stylish materials such as bronze, metal and leather as well as marble and oak parquet flooring, the store area is also home to the figure-of-eight-shaped Herzog Day Bar and Lounge Area, which is run by Munich restaurateur Maximilian Gradl and is open to all department store visitors. It forms part of the jewellery sales area, which is home to a striking, generously sized presentation of the Bucherer Fine Jewellery collections and those of four other well-known jewellery brands.

The watch display has a modern design and is an ideal place to enjoy a leisurely stroll and a browse. With its 70 square metres large shop-in-shop in the brand’s own design, Rolex is elegantly integrated into the store, as are Cartier and Omega, which occupy floor areas of approximately 50 square metres each.

The portfolio of the watch and jewellery department in Oberpollinger comprises the watch brands Rolex, Carl F. Bucherer, Cartier, Chopard, Glashütte Original, IWC, Longines, NOMOS Glashütte, Omega, Oris, Piaget, Rado, TAG Heuer, Tissot, Tudor and UNION Glashütte as well as the exclusive watch collection Bucherer BLUE EDITIONS and the jewellery brands Bucherer Fine Jewellery, Chopard, Messika, Pomellato and – from the autumn of 2018 – Boucheron.
