The new Panerai boutique located at number 25 in the renowned Bahnhofstrasse is a a duo-brand boutique together with the luxury watch brand A. Lange & Söhne. With an area of 105 square metres, the boutique has two displays facing onto one of the city’s most exclusive streets in the city of Zurich.
For the occasion it is launching a special edition of the Luminor Due – 42mm, the thinner and most versatile of Panerai creations. Produced in an edition of only 100 pieces, this watch will be available exclusively in the Zurich and Lucerne boutiques. The lion engraved on the back is inspired by the two Swiss cities recalling at the same time Zurich city’s crest symbol and the Lion Monument of Lucerne.
The concept of the design and materials used for the Panerai area respects its Italian tradition and stands as a clear reference to the underwater universe. The use of oak, burnished brass and bronze reinterprets the technical codes of the watchmaker and are all clear references to the world of the sea.
“We are very proud to open a new boutique in Zurich” said Jean-Marc Pontroué, Panerai’s CEO. “After Geneva, Lucerne, St Moritz and the recent opening of the boutique in our Manufacture in Neuchâtel, this is our fifth boutique in Switzerland. To celebrate the opening we are launching a special edition of the Luminor Due, dedicated to Zurich and Lucerne collectors.”
By opening a store in the country’s most important international tourist destination, Panerai is reinforcing its presence in Switzerland. With the recent openings in Rome, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai, there will be 88 Panerai boutiques throughout the world.
