Seiko opens its first boutique in Australia, located on the lower ground floor of the iconic Queen Victoria Building in Sydney.

A celebration in honor of the opening was held at the Swissotel Sydney, hosted by Seiko Watch Corporation COO Hirohiko Umemoto, and attended by several of Seiko's business partners, media representatives and watch collectors. The occasion was also celebrated by the Consul-General from the New South Wales consulate of Japan, Mr. Masato Takaoka. They together cut a Queen Victoria Building shaped cake to celebrate the opening.

This new boutique is one of several that Seiko is opening in the world's leading cities. Last year Seiko boutiques opened in Frankfurt, Moscow and Tokyo, and more will follow in 2016. Seiko's aim in Sydney as elsewhere is to allow visitors a unique, exciting and intriguing opportunity to explore the world of Seiko through its history, its craftsmanship and its finest watches. The Seiko Boutique will showcase Seiko's collections, Grand Seiko, Astron and Credor and will display several watches never before offered in Australia. The boutique will have a resident Seiko watchmaker to assist customers with technical information and assistance.
