Mexico City opened the 2017 Longines Global Champions Tour. In addition of being the Title Partner and the Official Timekeeper of the whole series, Longines has also presented the highlight of this first stage on Saturday, the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Mexico City, won by Martin Fuchs on Chaplin. Martin Fuchs was presented with a Longines watch by Charles Villoz, Vice President of Longines, to honour his performance.
Longines Ambassador of Elegance Andre Agassi attended the Longines Global Champions Tour of Mexico City on Friday afternoon. Earlier during the day, the legendary American tennis player inaugurated the new Longines Boutique located in the shopping mall Palacio de Hierro.
The Official Watch of the event was a model of The Longines Equestrian Collection, a line created as a tribute to the deep bonds the brand has forged with the equestrian world. This timepiece repeats the lines of the rectangular buckle found on the show bridle of the only Swiss horse breed, the franches-montagnes.
After Mexico City, the 2017 Longines Global Champions Tour will stop in Miami Beach next week. The circuit, which includes 15 stages in 15 different cities, will then take place in Shanghai, Madrid, Hamburg or Paris and Roma. Doha will host the last leg in November.
