Eckhart's character, Howie, wears the 40mm Altiplano in white gold on a black alligator strap. He stars opposite Academy Award winner, Nicole Kidman, and the two give intense emotional performances that have garnered them a number of nominations, including Spirit Award nominations for Best Female and Male Lead.

The Altiplano has seen its share of the limelight in 2010. Twilight heartthrob, Taylor Lautner, recently wore the 40mm Altiplano with a black dial to the New York premiere of Eclipse. Earlier this year, Oscar nominee and "2009 Piaget Man To Watch", Jeremy Renner, chose a special black dial anniversary edition of the new Altiplano 43mm as the perfect accent to his tuxedo for the 72nd annual Academy Awards. Other fans of the super slim timepiece include singer/songwriter, Mika, celebrity DJ and music producer, Mark Ronson, and celebrated author, Bret Easton Ellis.

With the increasing trend towards slim, classic timepieces, the Altiplano is sure to be seen even more in the coming year. Piaget's love affair with Hollywood and its longstanding support of art and independent film will continue with its sponsorship of the 26th annual Film Independent Spirit Awards to be held on February 26th.
