The two luxury brands of the Sowind Group are vacating their places at the Geneva fair. From 2013 onward, they will exhibit at Baselworld.
Girard-Perregaux and JeanRichard, the two prestigious brands of the Sowind Group, 51 percent of which belongs to luxury giant PPR, will exhibit their new products at the SIHH for the final time in 2012. As daily newspaper Le Temps reports, from 2013 their new products will be presented at the world's leading watch fair, Baselworld.
“We aren't communicating the reasons for choosing to leave,” said Dimitra Fréchelin, head of communication for both brands. Certainly, this choice is not a question of cutting costs, but most likely has more to do with solidarity and positioning of the luxury group the brand now belongs to. Girard-Perregaux and JeanRichard remain founding members of the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie.»
