Jean-Christophe Babin, President of Tag Heuer, with Tiger Woods, the day of the signing ceremony.

Jean-Christophe Babin
Why associate with TAG Heuer after working with another watch brand?
Tiger Woods

Well this is a great adventure and a fantastic opportunity. I hope to contribute a great deal to TAG Heuer, which I see as a unique and exceptional brand. My tastes have changed as I have gone through my career, my 'short' career and it's pretty neat to be able to affiliate myself with a company such as TAG Heuer. As everyone knows, I only get involved with companies that I feel I can give 100%, and invest 100% of myself into that company and this is no exception. TAG Heuer is a superior brand and one that I am honoured to be able to be affiliated with.

Jean-Christophe Babin
TAG Heuer stands for the ultimate in precision. What do time and precision represent for a champion like you?
Tiger Woods

First of all you have always got to be on time in order to play and two, precision is part of our game. This is a game of inches, so in order to be successful in our sport you have to be precise.

Jean-Christophe Babin
Do you like luxury watches and besides luxury watches what do you spend your money on?
Tiger Woods

To be honest with you, growing up I never thought I would be in a position to have a luxury watch. I remember the first watch I ever bought was a Mickey Mouse watch, so I've come a long way. I am all the more thrilled to actually represent such a great company as TAG Heuer.

Jean-Christophe Babin
How many pitches do you receive every year from different companies and how many of them do you turn down?
Tiger Woods

With my agent, we turn down quite a few. We get pitches every week from people who want me to represent their company, but there are few with whom I share the values and ideals. I have to feel 100% invested in that company. If I do not feel a connection with that company, I will not represent them.TAG Heuer_334748_1TAG Heuer_334748_2
