The Piaget Altiplano 900P “Only Watch 2015 – unique piece” was sold for CHF 70,000.-

The Manufacture de Haute Horlogerie Piaget has reiterated its support for a noble cause by taking part for the sixth consecutive time in the Only Watch charity auction held on November 7th 2015 at La Réserve Genève Hotel and Spa.

Piaget participated in this latest edition by interpreting its emblematic Altiplano 900P in a version that is unique as it is original, fitted for the very first time with metallic red hands.
To underscore the distinctive nature of this creation, the rim of its case-back is engraved with the inscription “Only Watch 2015 – unique piece”.
The Altiplano 900P “Only Watch 2015 – unique piece” (estimated: CHF 25,000 – 40,000) was sold for CHF 70,000.

Commenting on this participation, CEO Philippe Léopold-Metzger explained: “The Altiplano 900P powerfully expresses the creativity and innovation that have defined Piaget since 1874. We have created a watch that is truly unique in terms of aesthetics and design, for which we have once again pushed our own limits. It vividly illustrates the Piaget philosophy of placing techniques in the service of design. I am delighted that we have created a one-of-a-kind version of this model for Only Watch and to support the Monaco Association against Muscular Dystrophy.”

44 one-of-a-kind watches went under the hammer of Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo for a total sum of CHF 11,268,000 – thereby making this edition the best auction ever held on behalf of the Monaco Association against Muscular Dystrophy.
