La Stellaire - Badollet
1 minute read
An exceptional marriage of meteorites and extra-terrestrial olivines.

Badollet has chosen to incorporate fragments of meteorites, a material with a strong symbolism, in its Tourbillon Stellaire. Inside this watch beats a BAD 1630 calibre that is distinguished by its mainplate, which is manufactured entirely out of meteorite, and the upper bridge of the tourbillon cage, which is set with extra-terrestrial olivines.

The power reserve is displayed on the back of the timepiece. Through the transparent case back, the finely skeletonised and decorated bridges, depicting galactic circles, are visible.

Badollet Stellaire Vert BAD1630

Badollet chose meteorite for the mainplate of the BAD1630 movement in order to complete an undeniable technical challenge. This is because meteorite is particularly difficult to work with, not only because of its uneven structure but also because it tends to magnetise during machining.

Badollet therefore had to develop exceptional work processes in order to make the impossible possible.
