Watchmaking Knowledge (4) : quality control

Discover the work of the watchmakers and the expertise inside Frederique Constant.

The last step in the watch's production process is the quality control phase. The first stage of quality control is checking the watch's impermeability. This process is conducted by using forced air, instead of water. It avoids damaging the watch in cases where the impermeability is not of the required standard. The second quality control stage is called the control work, this process involves placing the watch into a machine which simulates the wrist movement. Finally, each watch must pass a final visual inspection made by our higly skilled watchmakers.
