The Harry Winston Midnight Collection derives its classic credentials from a rare balance between the distinct elements that make up a great timepiece. The case evokes the iconic arches that define the façade of Harry Winston’s historic Fifth Avenue Salon – proclaiming its unmistakable heritage.
The Midnight Moon Phase Automatic 42mm draws upon the full force of Harry Winston’s horological expertise. Visible through the exhibition back, the mechanical movement steadily propels the Hours/Minutes functions as well a moon phase and a retrograde pointer-type date display that unfurls majestically across the dial.
The design is strongly based on the universal harmony of the circle. The excentered chapter ring is rimmed in gold and positioned at 12 o’clock, embracing the moon-phase display that in turn gently nudges the date circle. The décor of the black dial lends even greater intensity to this architecture. The finely snailed circular motif of the chapter ring echoes that of the broad snailing on the dial that uncoils in a delightful excentered spiral pattern. This striking effect accentuates the contemporary nature of this timepiece.
The watch is available in rose gold with a light-colored dial or in white gold with a black or light-colored dial, and is worn on a brown or black alligator strap.
