The tenth iteration in the Project Z series has an openworked dial structure inspired by the construction of the Manhattan Bridge that exudes a lightweight feeling backed up by the lightweight case in the exclusive Harry Winston Zalium™ alloy.
Beneath the off-centre hours and minutes there are two retrograde displays, one for the days of the week on the right, the other for the seconds on the left, which are read against a 30-second retrograde scale. The off-centre and retrograde indications are both signatures of Harry Winston timepieces in general and the Project Z series in particular. A separate window at 6 o’clock, seemingly suspended on cross-shaped girders, displays the date.
The satin-finished Zalium™ case houses the Harry Winston mechanical calibre HW3305 beneath the blue anodized aluminium skeleton dial. Wound by an 18-carat white-gold openworked oscillating mass, the movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of up to 65 hours.
As a complicated watch intended for everyday use, the Project Z10 is water resistant to 10 ATM (100 metres) and comes with a dual strap consisting of alligator leather with a rubber structure and a Zalium™ buckle. Nevertheless, the Project Z10, formally part of the Harry Winston Ocean Collection™ is a limited edition of just 300 pieces.
