Cartier Ballon Bleu Serti Vibrant
Brought to life with the highest standards of Fine Watchmaking tradition, this timepiece reveals the extensive range of Cartier creativity and expertise.
With the invention of a revolutionary setting, Cartier starts a new chapter of its watchmaking and jewellery history. At the end of the 19th century, the so-called “trembling setting” technique was introduced, enabling Cartier to let its diamonds move freely without restraint. Today, this has inspired Cartier’s ground-breaking Vibrating Setting, a feminine and modern creation.
This magical version of the Ballon Bleu de Cartier watch is designed to reveal the energy within the diamonds. It sparkles with brilliance yet radiates a gentle softness. The Vibrating Setting is truly revolutionary and Cartier has made several patent applications for this ingenious invisible system which brings precious stones to life. The diamond studded dial shakes to give slight movement to the 123 brilliant diamonds.
The watch comes in a 42 mm rhodiumized 18K white gold case set with 210 brilliant-cut diamonds totaling 3.38 carats. The bracelet is also made of rhodiumized 18K white gold and set with 985 brilliant-cut diamonds totaling 8.82 carats. This captivating version of the Ballon Bleu de Cartier watch is fitted with a manufacture manual winding mechanical movement, calibre 430 MC. Water-resistant up to 30 meters, the Ballon Bleu de Cartier Serti Vibrant watch is created in a limited edition of 20 individually numbered pieces.
Characterised by audacity and inventiveness, Cartier’s watchmaking history reflects a unique state of mind: “jeweller of kings and king of jewellers”. Its renown is bound up in the tradition of excellence to which it is heir. Cartier was a forerunner in the use of platinum in jewellery and one of the pioneers of watchmaking.Find out more
