Cartier Panthère Ajourée de Cartier watch
Fully clad in diamonds and black enamel, the panther slips into the heart of the watch...
The panther is an essential and founding source of inspiration for Cartier. It is a powerful and magnetic creature and the emblem and metaphor of free femininity.
The enigmatic presence of the feline slips into the heart of the Baignoire dial of the Panthère Ajourée de Cartier watch. The panther bears on its side the small dial in white gold, set with 92 diamonds, displaying the hours and minutes. It is animated by the mechanical movement with manual winding 8971 MC.
The case is made in rhodium-plated 18-carat white gold and adorned with 618 brilliant-cut diamonds and black enamel. The bracelet, also in white gold, is fully set with 488 brilliant-cut diamonds.
Characterised by audacity and inventiveness, Cartier’s watchmaking history reflects a unique state of mind: “jeweller of kings and king of jewellers”. Its renown is bound up in the tradition of excellence to which it is heir. Cartier was a forerunner in the use of platinum in jewellery and one of the pioneers of watchmaking.Find out more
