Baselworld 2016 - Unmissable women’s watches

Baselworld 2016 Unmissable women’s watches

WorldTempus has chosen five women’s watches that were unveiled at Baselworld 2016.

Breguet – Classique Phase de Lune Dame 9088
Breguet has added a women’s watch with one of the most poetic complications, the moon phase, to its Classique collection. The new Classique Phase de Lune Dame 9088 takes up Breguet’s unique aesthetic codes and continues the company traditions with its finely fluted case band, white grand feu enamel dial set with Arabic numerals, fleur-de-lys motifs to mark the 5-minute fractions, and blued steel hands in the famous “hollow apple” shape.
The automatic movement visible through the sapphire case back reveals that it is exquisitely finished in the finest haute horlogerie tradition. To enchant and delight all its wearers, the Classique Phase de Lune Dame is offered in eight references with case variations in white or pink gold, optionally set with diamonds, and a dial in either grand feu enamel or natural hand-guilloché mother-of-pearl.

Louis Vuitton – Blossom Collection
For its new Blossom watch range Louis Vuitton draws inspiration from its iconic Monogram Flower. Each fine and delicate bloom – tinted pink or blue – is sculpted in three dimensions from a single piece of mother-of-pearl whose facets catch the light with each wrist movement. The blue and pink tones are carried over to the back of the piece, again hand-coloured, creating a subtle, nuanced effect. On the Tambour Spin Time model the time is read off a system of rotating diamond-studded cubes placed around the central flower.
A tourbillon version whose movement was designed entirely by the Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton in Geneva is also available.

Zenith – Elite Lady Moonphase
Zenith’s Elite collection gets in touch with its feminine side in the new Lady Moonphase.
The elegant and refined timepiece is available in five versions, with an 18K rose gold or stainless steel case and optionally diamond-set bezel. A deep blue moon phase disc scattered with stars stands proud of the delicate and subtle dial in white mother-of-pearl. Water-resistant to 50 metres, the 36 mm case features a grooved crown for easy adjustment of the moon phase function. The Elite Lady Moonphase is fitted with the automatic Elite 692 calibre, which was entirely developed and manufactured by Zenith.

Chanel – J12 Collector Mirror
The J12, launched in 2000, was one of the first watches to transform technical ceramic into a precious material. Over the past 16 years the J12 has become an undisputed icon, issued by Chanel in many different variations. This year Chanel unveils the J12 Collector Mirror, a model that marries designer chic with technological innovation.
This timepiece, just 1200 of which will be produced, sets up a play of mirrors between the printed numerals under a sapphire crystal, which are reflected in the chapter ring underneath. The 38 mm case in highly scratch-resistant steel and white high-tech ceramic conceals a high-precision quartz movement.

Hamilton – Jazzmaster Open Heart Lady
Hamilton is focusing on women in 2016, with a number of new ladies’ models including the Jazzmaster Open Heart Lady, a symphony in delicate mother-of-pearl. The centre of the dial reveals a lotus blossom in relief, as if the flower were floating in a tranquil pond. The polished and satin-brushed steel case houses the Hamilton automatic H-10 movement. The watch comes with either a linden-green or white satin strap with ‘easy-click’ fastener, or with a five-row metal bracelet.
