Baume & Mercier honors the Shelby spirit of endurance by launching a new series of limited edition chronographs. A few days ago, we presented the first model, the Capeland Shelby® Cobra Competition, which is the prize in our monthly competition. Today, we are focusing on the second timepiece, the Capeland Shelby® Cobra.
Inspired by the Cobra CSX2128, the Capeland Shelby® Cobra is distinguished by its classic but sporty lines, chronograph and tachymeter functions, polished and satin-finished case black and its alligator strap with a rubberized yellow lining.
The timepiece is equipped with a Swiss-made self-winding movement. The case back is engraved with the name of the collection, as well as the words “one out of 1963” in reference to the number of limited-edition pieces and the year which saw the Cobra’s first victory at the American championship. As a final tribute, the sapphire crystal features the CSX2128’s famous N° 15 race number.
