The BR-X1 takes its name from the code name used by NASA for its experimental projects. But far from experimental, the BR-X1 is real and fits in perfectly with Bell & Ross's tradition of producing aviation-themed watches.

Structured in the shape of an “X”, the upper bridge (treated with black DLC) reads like its signature. “X” is the code name that refers to NASA’s experimental projects, and which gives the watch its name: the BR-X1.
