Opened in 2007, then renovated and expanded in 2014, the Breguet Boutique in Tokyo is located in the Nicolas G. Hayek Center, a 14-floor glass edifice housing one Swatch Group brand boutique per floor. At the occasion of its 10th year, Breguet unveiled on 14 October 2017 a special 10-piece series of watches created for the Japan market.
Paying close attention to its clientele’s cultural preferences, Breguet chose to introduce a colored “Grand Feu” enamel dial on a piece from the Classique collection, renowned for its white enamel or gold engine-turned dials. The Breguet 5175 “Ginza Anniversary” special edition matches the originality of a mineral blue dial with the emblematic features of the House, which refinement has been an industry standard since 1775.
The “Ginza Anniversary” special series is presented in a 38mm diameter white gold case, with a finely fluted caseband. Its blue “Grand Feu” enamel dial is sublimated by a chapter ring in platinum-colored Breguet numerals and rhodium-plated Breguet hands with their traditional “open-tipped” design. This special series offers a center-second function displayed by an elongated hand, which lends legibility and elegance. The timepiece houses Calibre 777J with automatic winding, reaching a power-reserve of 55 hours. Its 4 Hz frequency and silicon components make it an example of precision and reliability.
