Breguet - Tradition Dame 7038 in rose gold

Breguet Tradition Dame 7038 in rose gold

Ahead of Baselwold 2017, Breguet presents a worldwide exclusive glimpse at a new version of its Tradition Dame model.

First introduced in 2005, the cutting-edge Tradition collection from Breguet belongs to the select circle of authentic Haute Horlogerie icons. It has steadily expanded to include a palette of exceptional timepieces and this year it is enriched by the rose gold Tradition Dame 738 model. Lets remember that last year at Baselworld, Breguet launched the white gold version of this watch, featuring a Tahitian mother-of-pearl dial, which was crowned “Best Watch for Women 2016” by the magazine Revolution at the end of the year. on.

With this self-winding timepiece, Breguet has succeeded in feminising a model whose aesthetic essence lies in mechanical horology, a field that many tend to reserve for men. Clearly visible in the centre of the watch, the barrel is decorated with a rosette motif and overlapped at 12 o’clock by a dainty offset dial in natural white mother-of-pearl, adorned with hand-crafted engine-turned “Clou de Paris” hobnailing. The dial also features an hours chapter with Arabic numerals on which point Breguet open-tipped hands in gold.

Though the main movement gear trains are clearly visible, the nevertheless remain sufficiently discreet to ensure instant reading of the hours and minutes. The sandblasted mainplate and bridges are rhodium-plated to create a pleasing contrast with the 37mm rose gold case, water resistant to 30m. The bezel is set with 68 brilliant-cut diamonds and a watch jewel adorns the crown. Through the sapphire-crystal caseback, one can admire the gold oscillating weight, graced with the same motif as the barrel.

The timepiece houses the self-winding movement Calibre 505SR, featuring a lever escapement with silicon pallets and a Breguet balance-spring also made of silicon.  Numbered and signed Breguet, it offers a 50-hour power reserve.
