Two Excalibur and one Lamborghini in blue

The Bucherer Blue Editions collection is enriched with two new Roger Dubuis Excalibur models and a superb Lamborghini.

The Bucherer Blue Editions watches were launched in 2016. Since then, the collection, which originally featured 14 models from nine renowned watchmakers, has now grown to 31. Bucherer celebrates the close relationship with these selected watch brands, and promotes the brands’ creativity, craftsmanship and innovative spirit. Two new timepieces are now joingning the collection:  the Excalibur Aventador S Bucherer Blue Editions and the Excalibur 42 Automatic Bucherer Blue Editions.

The Excalibur Aventador S, which is limited to just eight pieces, is certainly in the fast lane in terms of technology, and is a thrilling homage to Roger Dubuis’s partnership with Lamborghini Squadra Corse. Both the Excalibur Aventador S and the luxurious supercar Lamborghini Aventador S, boasting the highly impressive V12 engine, turn heads with their spectacular mechanical developments and bold, iconic features. Both brands offer their customers entry into an exclusive world filled with passion and emotional experiences that promise a rush of adrenaline.

The Excalibur Aventador S is the watchmaker’s most exclusive, most innovative and sportiest model. A true icon that was inspired by the design and the unique features of the Lamborghini Aventador S and its V12 engine. The Excalibur Aventador S Bucherer Blue Editions is powered by a Duotor – a hand-wound calibre that was designed and developed at the Roger Dubuis factory and that celebrates the company’s unparalleled expertise. Moreover, the Excalibur Aventador S Bucherer Blue Editions also houses five patented technological innovations that were inspired by motorsport. The calibre’s balance wheels have been turned by 45 degrees and positioned in a V, making it resemble the pistons of the 12-cylinder engine of the Lamborghini Aventador S. The various elements are all connected by a differential. The combination of the materials used – titanium and coated carbon in dynamic Bucherer blue – is also unique.

The second Bucherer Blue Editions model from Roger Dubuis is an Excalibur 42 Automatic in stainless steel. The blue dial features Roger Dubuis’s signature sunburst dial design. To honour the fact that this is the 30th model in the Bucherer Blue Editions portfolio, the watch is limited to 30 pieces. This model is also clearly a Roger Dubuis creation that offers exceptional elegance at a price that grants access to the exclusive world of Roger Dubuis.

Lamborghini Aventador S Blue Editions

If the colour blue symbolises our longing for the unattainable, the Lamborghini Aventador S Blue Editions is the epitome of this longing. It starts with the technical features of its 750-horsepower V12 engine, which can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, can reach a high speed of 350 km/h, and is sure to get pulses racing and adrenaline pumping. More than just a car designed to match the Roger Dubuis watch, this vehicle is top of the range; the best that the world of sports cars has to offer. The matt blue nuance, Blu Kairos, which was developed exclusively for Bucherer, and the SVJ rims in Silver Dianthus make this dream car a fascinating, one-of-a-kind eye-catcher.

When it came time to design the equipment of this unique supercar, the experts at the factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese as well as at the Bucherer Fine Jewellery atelier in Lucerne pulled out all the stops. The eye-catching backrests of the Alcantara sport seats in the Blu Delphinus shade of dark blue are stitched with a dynamic pattern that prominently features the number 8 in blue thread as a homage to Bucherer 1888. All of the decorative stitching is in

Grigio Cronus grey. Even the Blu Delphinus Alcantara foot mats with inserts are embellished with the Blue Editions logo, as is the carbon plaque fitted on the side of the vehicle.

One particularly distinctive feature is located between the backrests and pays homage to Roger Dubuis: exceptional decorative stitching depicting the contours of the exclusive Roger Dubuis Excalibur Aventador S.

Another highlight from the Bucherer Fine Jewellery atelier adds an extravagant touch: the flap that is studded with blue gemstones and covers the start button - 207 sapphires with a total weight of 7.47 carats. The experts spent 64 hours fine-tuning this detail alone, from the CAD drawing to crafting the button itself by hand in the goldsmith’s workshop, all the way to setting the gemstones in the atelier.

This unique Lamborghini can be bought for CHF 600,600 at Lamborghini Zurich.
