Three new Blue Editions by Vacheron Constantin - Bucherer and Vacheron Constantin
The successful concept of the Blue Editions watches available exclusively from Bucherer continues with three new exclusive Vacheron Constantin watches.

Three new Bucherer Blue Editions by Vacheron Constantin were presented at the sumptuous Hôtel Crillon in Paris on 26th September by Patrick Graf, Chief Commercial Officer at Bucherer, Laurent Perves, Chief Marketing Officer at Vacheron Constantin and Christian Selmoni, Style & Heritage Director at Vacheron Constantin. The location could scarcely have been more fitting for either name. The hotel building dates back to 1758, just three years after the foundation of Vacheron Constantin, and Paris is home to Bucherer’s – and the world’s – biggest multi-brand watch store.

All three new models are in the Traditionnelle collection, the signature elements of which are the stepped case, the slim bezel, the fluted case back, the railway-track minute circle, the carefully applied “bâtons de Genève” index hour markers and the elegant dauphine hands. All three timepieces also bear the Poinçon de Genève (also known as the “Hallmark of Geneva”) – guaranteeing the origin, savoir-faire, durability and precision of the watch. The Blue Editions introduce a blue dial to this collection for the first time, which has been developed specifically for Bucherer with rose-gold applied hour markers and a matching hand-stitched blue alligator leather strap with rose-gold buckle.

“The Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Bucherer Blue Editions are prime examples of outstanding technical and aesthetic expertise,” said Patrick Graf, Chief Commercial Officer at Bucherer. Vacheron Constantin – founded in 1755 and consequently the world’s oldest watch manufacturer in continuous operation – has developed and perfected these skills over the course of its history, which now spans nearly 300 years. The Bucherer Blue Editions models present a perfect example of the Swiss watchmaking tradition upheld by both companies, which have come to symbolise the pursuit of continuous innovation and unique elegance.”

Traditionnelle Small Model

The ladies’ model has a 33mm diameter case in 18-carat rose gold set with 54 diamonds (approximately 0.87 carats). It is equipped with the brand’s Calibre 1400 hand-wound in-house movement which displays hours and minutes and offers a power reserve of approximately 40 hours. Price: CHF 30,000.

Traditionnelle

The gents’ model has a larger 38mm diameter case in 18-carat rose gold and is powered by the in-house Calibre 2455 self-winding movement which displays hours and minutes with a small seconds dial at 9 o’clock. It also has a power reserve of 40 hours. Price: CHF 29,000.

Traditionnelle 14-Day Tourbillon

The pick of the bunch is the Blue Edition of Vacheron Constantin’s signature Traditionnelle Tourbillon. It shares the same aesthetics as the other two models but with a larger 42 mm case. Inside, however, things are different. The tourbillon is powered by the hand-wound Calibre 2260, which vibrates at a slower 18,000 vibrations per hour (compared with 28,000 for the other two models). It comprises no fewer than 231 components and four mainspring barrels, mounted in pairs, that offer a total power reserve of 336 hours, or 14 days. Price: CHF 282,000.
