Cartier Rotonde de Cartier Second Time-Zone Day/Night
These three new small complications are every bit as ingenious as their ‘grand’ counterparts.
With its 42 mm diameter, the Rotonde de Cartier watch launches a collection of men’s small complication models that combines a second time-zone, a day/night indication, a large date and small seconds. Three versions are available: with pink gold case and silvered dial, with white gold case and blue dial and with steel case and silvered dial.
Fully integrated, the new 1904-FU MC self-winding movement has required several years of development at the Cartier Manufacture in La Chaux-de-Fonds. A first in Cartier watchmaking, it groups together the setting of all its complications in on single push-piece. Its power reserve is about 48 hours.
With its Roman numerals, its winding crown set with a cabochon, its apple-shaped hands and its "rail-track" minute circle, this watch asserts a formal classicism built around the defining signs of identity of the Cartier watch.
Characterised by audacity and inventiveness, Cartier’s watchmaking history reflects a unique state of mind: “jeweller of kings and king of jewellers”. Its renown is bound up in the tradition of excellence to which it is heir. Cartier was a forerunner in the use of platinum in jewellery and one of the pioneers of watchmaking.Find out more
