After signing its first Haute Horlogerie Caliber, the Caliber 1 Jumping Hour for men in 2016, Chanel proposed the Caliber 2 Camélia Skeleton in 2017, winner of the Lady Watch at the Grand Prix de l'Horlogerie de Genève in 2017.
Early this year, Chanel introduced its third in-house movement, the Caliber 3, a skeleton movement that powers the Boy-Friend Skeleton watch. The watch won the "Ladies" category at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) 2018. This is Chanel's 5th distinction at the GPHG.
The Caliber 3 was designed to be beautiful at any angle. Floating in its octagonal beige gold case, it features a series of interlinked, vertically aligned circles. The mirror-polished beihe gold chamfering emphasizes the movement’s depth. The bridges are at the back, allowing the watch’s beating heart to stand out.
