La D de Dior was created in 2003, inspired by the 70s and made with
jeweller’s materials like gold, diamonds and ornamental stones.
This one embodies the spirit of Dior Fine Jewellery and reconciles the jeweller’s expertise of sparkling snow-settings, ornamental stone dials and creative audacity.
Whatever the diameter, 19, 21, 25 or 38mm, the La D de Dior is adorned with gemstones of irreproachable quality in colours corresponding to the designer’s artistic demands.
In 2014, 2 models both use the three colours of gold: yellow, white and pink. In the mini version, they are adorned with mirror calfskin straps. In the 38mm version limited to 20 pieces each, the dials, embossed with the pattern of alligator scales and covered in gold, extend onto the alligator straps which are covered in 7 layers of gold leaf and 5 layers of lacquer. The bezel and crown are set with diamonds to lend a touch of elegance to the watch. A quartz movement operates at the heart of the D de Dior Alligator.
