Frederique Constant launched the firtd Heartbeat timepiece in 1994, with the purpose to showshowing that these models were mechanical. With this in mind, the company added an aperture at the position of the balance wheel to show the beauty of the mechanical movement, of its “heartbeat”.
In 2004, the brand launched its first ever in-house movement, which happened to be a Heart Beat Manufacture movement. Major changes were applied to this new watch such as shifting the “heartbeat” to 6 o’clock. In the following years, several modifications were made to the original design that awarded the brand with 9 new models.
In 2006, Frederique Constant presented the Heart Beat Manufacture Automatic FC-930 featuring an automatic in-house developed, in-house produced and in-house assembled manufacture caliber. Today, the brand proposes the same iconic model with a new, refreshed dial. The manufacturing process of the FC-930 movement has also been upgraded using newer techniques, currently used in all manufacture calibers, to become a more reliable instrument and featuring the latest FC-930-2 in-house caliber.
The 3-parts case of the new Manufacture Heart Beat FC-930, water resistant to 50 m, is made of polished stainless steel and measures 41 mm in diameter. It is complemented with a convex sapphire crystal and a see-through back-case.
The silver-colored dial features guilloché details in its center, printed black Roman numerals and two hand-polished black-colored hands.
The new FC-930-2 Heart Beat Manufacture automatic caliber, beating at 28’800 alt/h, offers a 42-hour power reserve and its finishings include perlage and circular Côtes de Genève.
A light brown alligator strap secures the timepiece on the wrist.
