Cat’s Eye Aventurine

Cat’s Eye Aventurine - Girard-Perregaux
With its dial in aventurine that recalls a night sky full of starts, this new Cat's Eye model poetically marks out each hour of day and night.

The emblematic oval case (35,44 x 30,44 mm) of the Cat's Eye collection, launched in 2004, is crafted out of pink gold and hemmed by a bezel set with 62 brilliant-cut diamonds totalizing approximately 0.80 ct. The long and delicately curved lugs harmoniously extend the proportions of the case and provide the wrist with a perfect fit to ensure maximum comfort. Its crown, carefully chiseled into the form of a flower, emphasizes even further this model’s ultra-feminine elegance. Time is measured out by delicate leaf-shaped hands for the hours and minutes, and by a baton-type hand for the seconds. Their path is protected by a slightly domed sapphire crystal.
But the particularity of the Cat's Eye Aventurine is revealed at 6 o'clock: a shiny sun and a smooth moon appear on a 22 cts pink gold disc to display the hours of the day and night. Synchronized with the hours and minutes hands, the disc completes a rotation in 24 hours and doesn’t need to be set.
