L'Heure Impatiente for Only Watch - Hermès
The unique Slim d’Hermès L’heure impatiente timepiece for Only Watch 2017 invites us to look forward to an upcoming moment.

The ritual of the "heure impatiente"  concept consists of setting the counter of the watch to the time of the eagerly awaited event that will take place in less than 12 hours. An hour before it occurs, the mechanical hourglass is set in motion and its progress can be followed at 6 o’clock on the dial until the note rings out. The striking mechanism has been designed to ensure a lasting, velvety-smooth sound that is also delightfully modulated for the wearer’s ears only. The playful and quirky ‘Impatient Hour’ complication is based on this companionable rapport. In this unique piece for Only Watch 2017, the colours of the biennial charity auction are reflected in the black titanium case and black dial, as well as the yellow burnishing on the black alligator leather strap.

The "heure impatiente" module, measuring just 2.2 mm thick, is powered by the Manufacture Hermès H1912 movement. This compact mechanical self-winding calibre, produced in Switzerland, beats at the frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offers a power reserve of 42 hours. It has circular-grained and snailed mainplate, as well as satin-brushed bridges and oscillating weight, both adorned with the signature H pattern. Water resistant to 30m, the spacious 40,5mm case uses thinner than usual crystals and the 1mm thick dial resonates with the vibration of the striking mechanism: everything contributes to optimising the volume of air within this watch distinguished by its blend of aesthetic and technical finesse.
