H1 Quai du Mont-Blanc

This fall, the fluid turns red, a color symbolizing passion and a nod to Switzerland.

The Hydro-Mechanical Horologists’s story has evolved over time and near water. In 2002, the scenery that caught Lucien Vouillamoz’s imagination was that of the Swiss
lakes – the ones of Neuchâtel, Bienne and Morat.

In 2014, the H1 Quai du Mont-Blanc 22-piece limited edition is a homage to HYT's partnership with Montres Prestige, the brand's first ambassador in Switzerland, located on Quai du Mont-Blanc and facing the Jet d’eau of Geneva.

After indicating the time with a yellow fluid, the Hydro-Mechanical Horologists have turned to the red colour, as a symbol of passion, of Geneva and of Switzerland. The liquid adjustement was not as simple as one could think and took eighteen technical months to perfect (see our article on HYT fluid technology). Its classical minutes dial preserves the heritage of the traditional haute horlogerie whilst seamlessly integrating the high fluid technology. The exclusive mechanical hand-wound HYT calibre and its 65-hour power reserve is further enhanced by the beautiful Côte-de-Genève finitions and the hand-chamfered bridges.

The case of the watch - water-resistant to 100 meters -  is made of titanium and offers brushed, shot-peened and satin-finished surfaces,  and the strap, in grey alligator, is equipped with a titanium debloyant buckle.
