Perpetual Calendar Eclipse

Perpetual Calendar Eclipse - Jaquet Droz
Unveiled at Baselworld last spring, the Perpetual Calendar Eclipse is now available in stores!
Two versions of the Perpetual Calendar Eclipse are available: with black or ivory Grand Feu enamel dial. The case and four hands are made of red gold. Two hands show the hours and minute, while the two others, tipped with a crescent moon, show  the current date on the right of the dial, and the day of the week on the left.
At 12 o’clock, a single-hand counter indicates the month with the leap year appearing in a small window.  At 6 o’clock, a black onyx index moves across the face of a golden moon, revealing, and then concealing it until its total eclipse. The whole spectacle unfolds on a night sky boasting eight stars, the watchmaker’s favorite number.
