The “rubbergator” makes a splash - JeanRichard
JeanRichard now combines the style and elegance of an alligator-skin strap with the water-resistance of a strap made out of rubber.

JeanRichard, together with Mestel, HEPIA (Geneva University of applied sciences - technology, architecture and landscape) and Agie Charmilles has created a brand new type of strap that epitomises its whole Philosophy of Life. Made out of 100% rubber, this newly developed strap technology reproduces the actual surface of alligator skin down to the smallest details, while offering absolute water-proofness as well as resistance against any other “outdoorsy” influences and strength of the sportiest watch-straps on the market.

This revolution took over a year to develop:  a special 3D scan was developed together with HEPIA that was capable of actually illustrate the look of alligator skin – and Agie Charmillles contributed with latest technological laser machines that could then reproduce the texture on this new kind of material and rubber strap.

Coming in blue, black, brown or white, this new alligator skin-style rubber watch strap is a perfect summer partner for the Aquascope model, particularly alluring in its "star" version, with its steel case, blue anodised-aluminium bezel, automatic movement and water-resistance at 300 m.
