Louis Vuitton - Tambour New Wave

Louis Vuitton Tambour New Wave

Louis Vuitton presents a new version of its Tambour watch. It draws its inspiration from the latest leather goods collection.

More than a simple symbol, the “V” for Vuitton marks  the wearer’s belonging to a young, inspiring new tribe.

The challenge the dial makers at La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton set themselves  was to visually recreate the softness of leather on the edge of what is usually a flat surface. Drawing on their expertise, the craftsmen used a special stamp to obtain  the desired effect. The V giving the watch its character and allowing the “Vuitton” signature to take centre stage.

The delicate dial is accompanied by highly polished hour markers. On the flange, the minute circle is punctuated with emblematic Monogram flowers. The small seconds hand positioned at 6 o’clock constantly echoes this delicacy.

Thanks to its innovative interchangeable strap system patented by Louis Vuitton,  this Tambour New Wave can be customised, from shiny to understated and from sporty rubber to precious alligator. Debossed then screen-printed in multiple colours, the “Rainbow” version on white leather is emblematic of the spirit of the New Wave collection.

Available in three different diameters – 28, 34 and 39.5 mm – this quartz model  also comes with diamonds horns on the 34 mm version. The 39.5 mm model has a chronograph function. Our daily partner in an ever-changing world, adapting, chameleon-like, to our desires, the Tambour New Wave is the future emblem of the new “V” generation.
