This watch of sober elegance in 18-karat red gold was unveiled at Watches&Wonders 2015.

The Heritage Spirit collection was launched in 2014, in homage to the spirit of the Meisterstück fountain pen of 1924.
The Meisterstück Heritage Spirit Date Automatic watch presented today
measures 39 millimetres and is just 9 millimetres thick. The 18-karat red gold case  -  water-resistant to 3 bars (30 m) - sports a polished narrow convex bezel, a horizontally satin-finished middle, subtly curved horns, and  a slightly convex sapphire crystal, with anti-reflective treatment to improve the reading quality.
The silvery white guilloché dial bears red gold-plated appliqués facetted hour indexes of different sizes, the Roman numeral “XII”, and a framed window for the date 3 o’clock.
To conserve the magic of this dial, hands of a sleek and timeless design were required. For the hours and minutes, Montblanc opted for red gold-plated Dauphine hands, recognisable by their slender form and the fine facets that manage to capture the light without dazzling. Gilded to match the tone of the hour-markers, they are offset by a long and fine sweep-seconds hand.

At the heart of this timepiece is the self-winding mechanical calibre MB 24.09, beating at 28,800 vph for optimum precision and offering a 42-hour power reserve. Through the watch’s transparent case back made from sapphire crystal, we can see the engraved rotor and the immaculate finishing of the components.

This harmonious watch is worn on a black alligator-skin strap, closed by a traditional ardillon buckle crafted in 18-karat red gold.
