A new dynamic timepiece with innovative materials for the Contemporary Timepieces Collection.

In 2004, Montblanc launched the TimeWalker Collection. The design of the 43-millimetre case, which combines clean lines with architectonic shapes, made this new family of Montblanc timepieces instantly recognisable. Blending sporty elegance and masculinity, the Montblanc TimeWalker till today carries its unique aesthetics and features the signature skeletonised horns, a narrow bezel, a large dial with Arabic numerals in a distinctive, clearly contoured typography, and the characteristic lancetshaped hands.

The Montblanc TimeWalker Urban Speed Chronograph being technically very sophisticated, epitomizes a dynamic urban feel. While its style reinterprets the powerful and meticulously-crafted lines of the TimeWalker Collection, the new Montblanc TimeWalker Urban Speed Chronograph makes huge strides forward in design and technology by combining sand-blasted steel with ceramic.

The black dial of the timepiece, clear and legible,  accentuate the white numerals and dynamic red elements on the central chronograph hand and the minute scale and plays with perspectives that emphasise the counters positioned at “6 and 12 o’clock”. The periphery bears the seconds scale for the chronograph’s slender elapsedseconds hand and is subdivided into readily legible quarter-of-a-second increments to match the 4 Hz pace of the movement. The middle stratum, which covers the centre and the periphery of the dial, is embellished with a fine embossed pattern of circular striations.

The dynamic red elements, a significant design code of this collection, extend the contemporary design concept of the Montblanc TimeWalker collection.

The window in the case back offers a clear view of the automatic mechanical Calibre MB 25.07. Equipped with an integrated chronograph function, this calibre is manufactured in accord with all the rules that govern the art of Swiss fine watchmaking and oscillates at 28,800 semioscillations per hour (4 Hz).

The “Extreme” leather wristband created by Montblanc’s Pelleteria in Florence, is in perfect keeping with the rest of the piece: markedly technical while retaining a sporty yet elegant appearance. Due to its innovative manufacturing process, the upper surface of the leather wristband made of grey stitched calfskin has the characteristic carbon appearance. In a long and meticulous process, the leather is textured and simultaneously impregnated with a treatment that does not only coat the surface of the wristband, but also conjoins with it and increases its structural strength.
