Hublot – Spirit of Big Bang Yellow Sapphire
For mothers who prefer not to be bound by convention, the bright yellow sapphire case and rubber strap of this Hublot watch are an opportunity to demonstrate their independence. For several years, Hublot has been developing ultra-strong sapphire cases, using cutting-edge manufacturing technologies to produce different colours. The sunny yellow hue enhances the transparency of the sapphire which, in combination with a skeleton movement, creates a lightness that is more than just aesthetic, given that the watch weighs not much more than 100 grams.

Glashütte Original - Sixties Date Panorama
Orange, a warm colour, is traditionally considered to be stimulating and dynamic, even provocative. And yet the way the watch dial is graded from yellow to dark red tones down any loudness and excludes all accusations of bad taste. The other characteristic of the dial is the relief pattern produced in Glashütte Original’s dial factory using tools and techniques that date back to the 1960s. The technical expertise continues inside the watch, with a self-winding manufacture movement whose beautiful finishes can be admired from the back.

Its beating heart, nestled within an 18k yellow gold case with matching hands and indices, pays tribute to the historic 19-line calibre, the brand’s first Master Chronometer movement. The dial, which appears for the first time in Omega’s intense red enamel, takes pride of place. The striking colour is repeated on the alligator strap. This watch in the colour of love, with its sumptuous mix of tradition and modernity. will leave your mother in no doubt as to your feelings about her.

Carl F. Bucherer – Patravi ChronoDate
When a sports-inspired chronograph comes in pastel pink with diamonds, in a diameter of 40 mm, a female wrist is clearly its most appropriate setting. But it’s technically uncompromising despite the elegance; the mechanical calibre provides comprehensive timekeeping and peerless precision. The large date and two cutout hands filled with SuperLuminova are eminently practical features for a watch that offers a great deal more than just a pretty face.

Bulgari – Serpenti Incantati
This brand new release from Bulgari’s Serpenti range is part of a capsule collection focusing on amethyst. This purple quartz crystal is said to combat stress and promote balance and serenity. It would make a beautiful gift for your mother, particularly when such a fabulous shape is combined with the official Colour of the Year for 2019. The stylised snake draped around the watch is set with diamonds, and its triangular head made of amethyst echoes the 33 stones around the dial. The matching mauve hands and alligator strap add their own supporting voices to this jewellery watch in rose gold.

Girard-Perregaux – Cat’s Eye Plum Blossom Aventurine
The midnight blue of aventurine glass (also called simply “aventurine”), flecked with sparkling inclusions, is an ideal material for a watch intended to evoke a sense of mystery, depth and poetry. And the deep blue is indeed beautiful. The gilt plum blossom on the dial combines poetry with engineering, since it plays the role of small seconds register. The depth of the blue, the warmth of the rose gold and the clarity of the diamonds, combined with the highly feminine oval shape characteristic of the Cat’s Eye make this watch a supremely refined example of the watchmaker’s art.

The upper part of the dial features a magnificent feather motif carved by hand from mother-of-pearl, while the lower part becomes an extension of the case, with its flamboyant background of snow-set diamonds and blue sapphires. Schwarz Etienne – Ode to the 70’s
After the “Ode to spring” series dedicated to bees, Schwarz Etienne changes direction with the latest multicoloured model decorated with the universally recognised peace symbol. In homage to this colourful era, the dial is decorated with brightly coloured grand feu enamel produced using the cloisonné and champlevé enamelling techniques. In a nod to the ubiquitous 1970s bell-bottom jeans, the strap is made of denim with splashes of colour. Perhaps the watch’s flying tourbillon is an invitation to relive the days of Flower Power?
