WorldTempus presents 13 unique pieces for its 16th anniversary, all available for purchase now in our shop.

In some cultures the figure 13 is considered unlucky, but this is far from the case with the selection of unique pieces that have been developed in collaboration with the watch brands themselves around the theme of our 16th anniversary. After the success of the limited number of unique pieces we offered last year, we have extended the offer this year to cover prices ranging from 2,800 up to 55,000 Swiss francs for an MCT watch with a specially developed movement. Find out more in our overview of all 13 watches.

A number of watch brands were present at the prestigious Le Mans 24-hour race last weekend. Thanks to HYT, I was lucky enough to spend a day with the Panis-Barthez team in the run-up to the qualifications last Thursday. Find out all about the preparations that go into the race, the association with HYT and – last but not least – the brand-new HYT watch, later this week on WorldTempus.

Watch brands could also be seen out in force at the annual Bol d’Or Mirabaud in Geneva last weekend. It is the world’s biggest inland lake regatta and you can find out more about it in an article by Quentin Mayerat. Quentin is a contributor to our sister magazine Skippers and has agreed to become a regular contributor to WorldTempus, starting with a series of articles related to the world of sailing, of which the explanation of the Bol d’Or Mirabaud is the first.

We have a largely product-focused week with in-depth looks at some individual watches, starting with the Kerbedanz Maximus today and continuing with a look at the Jaeger-LeCoultre Geophysic by David Chokron, the new Hysek Kalysta Papillon by Olivier Müller and my thoughts after a few days wearing the TAG Heuer Modular 45.

In business news, what was long known to insiders has now been officially confirmed by the organisers of the SIHH: The number of exhibitors in 2018 is set to increase again as the show welcomes one of the big departees from Baselworld, Hermès, along with DeWitt, Aiguille d’Or winner Ferdinand Berthoud and Romain Gauthier.
