Flashback to ’99 - Patek Philippe
1 minute read
Two new Twenty~4 models.

Among the many chapters of Patek Philippe’s grand history, the Twenty~4 is a fairly recent one. Launched in 1999, the original Twenty~4 was the maison’s noteworthy leap into creating a women’s collection, powered by a quartz movement. The original Twenty~4 had a rectangular case with straight lines that flowed into an articulated bracelet. It was modern and had an Art Deco feel to it, designed to celebrate and accompany the modern woman. Following a reworking of the Twenty~4 presented in 2018, with a round case and a mechanical movement (which met with great success), Patek Philippe has presented two new Twenty~4 quartz models, one with a sunburst blue dial and the other with a gray sunburst dial. Enriching the collection while slightly tweaking the initial design for the modern, independent woman, the case remains rectangular, in a cuff-type style like the original watch. The design update replaces the Roman numerals for 12 and 6 with Arabic numerals to be more in step with the Twenty~4 Automatic, which also features Arabic numerals. The two-tier rectangular case is set with 18 Top Wesselton Pure diamonds on the left and right, framing the sunburst dial. Harking back to the collection’s 1999 roots with a slight update, the new Twenty~4 models are set to please a new clientele looking to join the Patek Philippe family.
