Entitled “Secrets & Lights – A Mythical Journey by Piaget”, the new Piaget Haute Joaillerie and Haute Horlogerie collection was unveiled at the 2015 Watches & Wonders watch fair. Inspired by two legendary cities, Venice and Samarkand, this extraordinary collection comprising 38 watchmaking creations.
The two new Altiplano enamel timepieces are derieved from the collection inspired by Venice, La Serenissima. Magnified by virtuoso exponents of feather art, enamelling, micro-mosaic and engraving, theses watches evoke the architectural splenours of the Clock Tower, restored by Piaget in 1999, the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mary’s Basilica and the city’s emblematic lion. Whether bringing to life the magnificence of Venetian festivities or reflecting subtle plays on light, these Haute Joaillerie creations become authentic works of art.
These two creations come in a 38 mm diameter white gold case set with 78 brillant-cut diamonds (approx. 0.7 ct). Inspired by Venetian architecture, the dial is in gold with champlevé enamel. One of them features a delicate diamond snow-setting (ref. G0A40602).
Both of them are powered by the Manufacture Piaget 860P self-winding mechanical caliber, which displays the hours and minutes. The watches are completed with a white or black satin strap with a white gold pin buckle.
