In 2015, Ralph Lauren introduces new modes in the Automotive Collection, directly inspired by the instrument panel of Ralph Lauren’s legendary 1938 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic Coupe.
WorldTempus has already introduced the Automotive watch, the Automotive Chronograph, and the Automotive Skeleton. We present today the Automotive Chronometer.
Two versions of the Automotive Chronometer are offered for 2015 — one boldly proportioned at 45mm in diameter, and the other at 39mm for those who desire a more classic presence.
The watches come in a stainless steel case, polished and brushed which opens on a dial divided in two parts: a black matte galvanic center and a brown elm burl wood outer decor held by 4 screws.
The Automotive Chronometer shares the black oxidized sword hands found in the other Automotive timepieces, as well as the use of beige-colored Super-LumiNova®.
Inside is the self-winding caliber RL300-1, certified as a chronometer by the COSC (the independent Swiss bureau for the certification of chronometer timepieces), with the hours, minutes and seconds functions, and 42-hour power reserve.
A black alligator leather strap, with black Alsavel® lining, and equipped with a stainless steel pin buckle completes the watches.
