With the launch of the RM 72-01, Richard Mille is clearly asserting its dual nature. On the one hand, uncompromisingly sporty, powerful watches with a high-performance nature expressed through complications, appearance and materials. And on the other, easy-wear, easy-living watches suited to both men and women, yet also characterized by excellent performance. They thus combine a lifestyle vibe while also being developed in-house. Entirely designed and produced by the brand, the CRMC1 self-winding chronograph caliber is among the most advanced available. For example, it offers virtually unheard of 24-hour timing, uniquely arranged counters and a platinum rotor. The brand’s emblematic design and ergonomics (tonneau case, curved profile, skeleton dial and movement, function selector, large date) are also present, but in more considerate proportions, with a width of only 38.4mm and an 11.7mm thickness. Unlike the RM11-03, the bezel contour is smooth. As always, titanium is treated like a precious metal, with ultra-sophisticated finishing, a common thread running through the Richard Mille collections.
