In February, these brand-new high-power tyres were tested at the Pirelli proving ground in Flurheden (Sweden). In the latest graphic demonstration of these distinguishing features, Pirelli is gearing up for the launch of a new patented studded tyre developed for high performance on ice in the most winter conditions. On the occasion of the test-drive event, Roger Dubuis unveiled its brand-new interpretation of this cutting-edge tyre technology: the Excalibur Pirelli Ice Zero 2. Part of the brand's iconic collection with its stated sport aesthetic and skeleton signature, this timepiece features a double flying tourbillon, one of the world’s highest complications in the realm of Haute Horlogerie, and is powered by the Poinçon de Genève certified Calibre RD105SQ. The eight-piece limited edition Excalibur Pirelli Ice Zero 2 timepiece gets off to a sizzling start with a strap complete with the same state-of-the-art steel nail studded pattern.
Consistently going the extra mile, Roger Dubuis takes this piece of watchmaking interpretation to the next level by removing the DLC treatment on the titanium super sports car style edges of this watch, highlighting the Excalibur Pirelli Ice Zero 2 timepiece’s own iconic contours in a nod to its motorsports alter ego.
