IWC Schaffhausen revives a tradition that dates back to the Mark 11 by launching a new 36-millimetre model. The new Pilot’s Watch Automatic 36 (Ref. 3240) is clearly aimed at watch lovers both male and female who appreciate the pilot's watch aesthetic. While the dial design of this elegant three-hander remains clear, as required of the pilot's watch style, a discreetly recessed inner circle adds a clear depth to the piece. The mirror- polished bezel and sun-pattern finish on the dials also capture light reflections perfectly.
The Pilot’s Watch Automatic 36 comes in five different references: two with a slate-coloured dial and a choice of a dark brown Santoni alligator leather strap (Ref. IW324001) or a stainless-steel bracelet (Ref. IW324002); two with a silver-plated dial and blue Santoni alligator leather strap (Ref. IW324003) or a stainless-steel bracelet (Ref. IW324004); plus an additional version with a silver-plated dial, gold-coloured indices and a dark brown Santoni alligator leather strap (Ref. IW324005).
The rugged self-winding 35111 calibre that powers the Pilot’s Watch Automatic 36 is equipped with a soft-iron inner case for protection against magnetic fields and offers a power reserve of 42 hours.
