Classico Jade "520", my love
The Classico Jade says an encrypted "I love you" in this limited-edition series of 99 watches. The 6, 7 and 8 hour numerals have been replaced by 5, 2 and 0, which is code for "I love you" in Chinese. The pronunciation of these numbers in Chinese is close to "Wo ai ni", which are the magic words that anyone wants to hear on Valentine's Day.
The Classico Jade is thus a great way to convey a subtle message of love, with the "520" revealed by the distinctive diamond-set wave on the mother-of-pearl dial.
This limited-edition accompanies a new series of Classico Jade models in a new 34mm case diameter, which is smaller than the original 37mm model launched in 2013. The wave, consisting of nine diamonds, is set in the bottom-left corner of the dial and a further 60 diamonds are set on the bezel for the stainless-steel case (71 for the rose-gold version).
In addition to the limited series of 99 watches, the new Classic Jade is also available as a non-limited version with the same bordeaux numerals, as well as blue numerals for the stainless steel case (in both cases with a matching leather strap) and with grey numerals and a grey strap for the rose-gold version. The bordeaux version also comes in a more discreet model without the diamond-set bezel.
The Classico Jade 34mm models are fitted with the UN-815 automatic movement, which guarantees a power reserve of 42 hours.
The stainless-steel versions cost €7,900 (including the limited edition), while the rose-gold version is €17,900. The stainless-steel version without the diamond-set bezel retails for €5,900.
