In 2006, Van Cleef & Arpels celebrated its centenary with an innovative watch, on which time flows by poetically, in harmony with the seasons. Each watch expresses a subtle creativity that provokes a sense of wonder. The technical mastery of its 24-hour movement is eclipsed by the spectacle of an eternal nature bursting with treasures.
The Lady Arpels Jour Nuit Coccinelles' dial is richly adorned by traditional craftsmen. Their virtuosity leads into enchanting lands, where champlevé and cloisonné enamel traces the contours of the landscapes. As the hours go by, a disk of cloisonné enamel reveals a diurnal, then nocturnal scene.
Eternal symbols of luck, ladybirds are part of the world of Van Cleef & Arpels. The Maison invites them into a scene filled with four-leaf clovers. The course of the sun and moon accompanies the two tiny creatures on their poetic journey. The self-winding mechanical movement brings this world to life. By day, a disk of cloisonné enamel reveals two little ladybirds. A bouquet of diamond-set flowers reflects the glow of the night. The Lady Arpels Jour Nuit Coccinelles' dial is presented in a 38mm diameter white gold case and its bezel is set with diamonds. The watch is completed with a dark green alligator strap and a white gold pin buckle set with diamonds.
It is a limted edition of 22 pieces.
