Pierre Arpels Platine

Pierre Arpels Platine - Van Cleef & Arpels
An iconic timepiece from Van Cleef & Arpels, the Pierre Arpels watch takes on a very exclusive aspect in this brand new platinum version.

When Pierre Arpels created his own watch in 1949, it was designed to accompany whatever he, a man of the world, might be wearing – from morning to night, on ordinary days and at gala evenings - at premieres at the Cannes Film Festival, for example.

A rare and unchanging metal, the platinium forms an elegant contrast to the black lacquered dial of this new watch, evoking the masculine dress code for the smartest receptions.

On the dial appears the collection’s emblematic piqué motif, inspired by black-tie shirtfronts, while the slightly raised roman numerals, hour markers and hands stand out like strokes of light.

The watch, powered by a manual-winding mechanical movement, is available in diameters of 38mm or 42mm. Both sizes also offer a more precious version featuring a bezel set with round and baguette-cut diamonds.

The watch is worn on a black alligator bracelet equipped with a platinum pin buckle - set with round diamonds on the diamond-set models.
