As child I always dreamed of becoming a journalist. As the years went by my dreams changed, but I never completely let go of my original aim. And here I am: a permanent member of the editorial team at WorldTempus and GMT. My studies in International Relations at the University of Geneva, which earned me a bachelor’s degree, were fascinating but too theoretical for my taste. Looking for a change, and an opportunity to immerse myself in a foreign language, I continued my university education with a Master’s in Marketing Communications and Advertising in London. Once my studies were over I started to look for an internship. The watchmaking industry appealed to me, and I wasn’t a complete stranger to it: my mother worked for a well-known watch retailer in Geneva for many years, and my stepfather has a keen interest in fine watchmaking. In 2014 I joined WorldTempus as an intern. This gave me the opportunity to see the watchmaking world from the inside, and have a go at writing. My hard work and commitment paid off, and I was given a permanent position on the team.
