About

The A L'Emeraude watch and jewelry store has been on Place St. François in the centre of Lausanne since 1909 and is currently managed by the third generation of independent family owners, the Cremers family. After Patrick Cremers acquired the store with his wife Marina in 2004, he took over the management of the prestigious Patek Philippe Salons in Geneva in 2010. He therefore brought in his brother Derek, who already had experience in the watch business, to run the store.

A L'Emeraude is not only one of the most important independent watch retailers in French-speaking Switzerland, it also offers something unique with a boutique just next to A L’Emeraude dedicated to both Patek Philippe and Rolex. This is something that you will be hard pressed to find elsewhere in a multi-brand store in Switzerland. These flagship brands have their own dedicated retail spaces on the ground floor of the store, while the first floor is devoted to some of the best and most exclusive products available on the market today.

The top-quality service at A L'Emeraude's store covers timepieces from top brands but also jewelry, thanks to Marina Cremers's experience in jewelry and as a gemmologist. She has been working with the same diamond specialist for over 20 years and partners with the best craftsmen and women in Switzerland, who can create bespoke pieces according to the customer's wishes.

At A L'Emeraude a warm welcome awaits local customers from the vibrant cosmopolitan Olympic capital of Lausanne, which is home to the International Olympic Committee as well as numerous international sports federations and multinational companies whose employees can rest assured that they don't need to make a trip to Geneva to find some of the best watches on the market. A quick search beforehand on the store's website is all it takes to see what exclusive products you could try for yourself at this family-run business.

For all watch retailers, customer service is an essential part of the business, since a customer's experience with the services by retailers and brands can shape their opinions of both. At A L'Emeraude, customer service is assured by two resident watchmakers who have two separate workshops for cleaning, polishing and advising directly the customer. They can also carry out service work right before the customer's very eyes on a watchmaker's workbench in the sales area, with a camera showing a live feed of the meticulous work. Extensive training at the respective brands and years of experience mean that these watchmakers are capable of performing a wide variety of service work on the watches sold by A L'Emeraude.
