Jacob & Co.

Jacob & Co. is an artistic visionary Maison that displays boundless creative freedom. Setting a completely new tone, both in terms of design and complications, it celebrates being different.

About

Jacob Arabo arrived in the United States from Russia in 1979. He studied jewellery in New York and founded Jacob & Co. in 1986. Fascinated by fine watchmaking and mechanical art, he began his watchmaking business in 2002, and this now represents a major part of his business.

In less than five years, the man nicknamed “Jacob the Jeweller” became a reference in the United States and successfully earned himself an international reputation. His exclusive creations and their assertive character are prized by a great many celebrities, musicians and sportspeople, in particular basketball players Shaquille O’Neal and Stephon Marbury, as well as politicians and royalty. In 2004, Jacob & Co. opened its store on New York’s 57th Street.

Jacob Arabo, whose material of choice is diamond-studded platinum, owes his reputation to completely new, innovative watchmaking creations, their very distinctive aesthetic appearance and their grand complications, such as Tourbillons equipped with a 31-day power reserve and timepieces with five time bands on the same movement.

Philosophy

Jacob & Co. is an artistic visionary Maison that displays boundless creative freedom. Setting a completely new tone, both in terms of design and complications, it celebrates being different.

Jacob & Co. creations are ‘happening’ watches that enjoy playing on ersatz classicism to produce timepieces with an innovative, contemporary design. The Firm’s proficiency in jewellery gives its watches – deceptively prim at first sight – a luxury, handcrafted touch.

Collections

Brilliant, Royal

These two collections include men’s and ladies’ jewelled timepieces in a round case with a simple movement: hours, minutes and seconds.

Caligula

The Caligula has a fine guilloché dial revealing an erotic motif as it revolves.

Epic

The Epic, the Firm’s only chronograph, plays on geometric shapes in a case sporting a round dial.

H24, GMT, Five Time Zone, Grand, Global

These five timepieces are Jacob & Co.’s collection destined for cosmopolitan travellers, with watches offering no fewer than five simultaneous time bands on the same dial.

Metropolis

With a square case that itself holds an oblique jewelled dial, the Metropolis features precious stone hour markers that portray the monuments in famous cities.

Tourbillon

This collection comprises timepieces with the utmost levels of complication. From single to quadruple tourbillons featuring four time bands, Jacob & Co. offers a variety of timepieces for the most demanding of fine watch lovers.
