Six years after the arrival of de GRISOGONO on the watchmaking scene, the Instrumento N°Uno model is available in a new, highly original version showcasing a centre seconds hand. The watch is a hymn to the beauty of each passing moment.
A new vision of time
With its square case and bold contours, imposing volume and the unrivalled comfort of its hinged attachments, the Instrumento N°Uno, launched in 2000, made its entry as one of the most eye-catching watch designs of the new millennium. Turning its back on generally accepted ideas, de GRISOGONO
today proposes a new version of this luxury timepiece that simultaneously transforms the concept of time and the traditional composition of dials. The new Uno Grande Seconde model gives pride of place to the second, marked by a large hand in the centre of the dial. The hours and minutes are displayed in a smaller dial at 6 o'clock. It is a bold new approach, a new vision of time and an invitation to savour each second in all of its fullness. With its perpetual rotary motion and unusual dimensions, the large seconds hand also adds a touch of vitality and energy that are perfectly in tune with the mentality of de GRISOGONO
The harmony of opposites
To accompany this highly original display, Fawaz Gruosi presents an exclusive dial design capturing the attention thanks to a masterful combination of textures and contrasts between squares and circles, the modernity of the case and the Clous de Paris
guilloche decoration. The watch is a true mark of tradition, a contrast between the ‘railway' that marks out the seconds around the dial and the purity of the azure-blue auxiliary dial and its 18-carat gold applied indexes. Another contrast involves the delicate seconds hand, finished off with the de GRISOGONO
coat of arms, and the elegant Dauphine hour and minute hands. The Uno Grande Seconde is available in steel or 18-carat rose gold. It is also available in Browny Brown
18-carat brown gold treated with an exclusive de GRISOGONO
process to heighten the sensuality of its colour and touch. Depending on the model, the dials are available in bright colours, brown or black, the seconds hand coming in red, white or black for outstanding legibility. The curved, rectangular case houses a mechanical automatic movement featuring a special de GRISOGONO
module. The domed sapphire crystal, decorated with the manufacturer's coat of arms, reveals superb details of the movement and oscillating weight, blackened by the PVD process, another exclusive signature of the Geneva-based firm. A corrector at 4 o'clock allows resetting of the time with a simple click whenever crossing over into a different time zone. The alligator strap is connected to the case by means of complete, mobile attachments that enhance the originality of the design while guaranteeing optimal comfort for the wearer. The buckle comes with a triple folding clasp to match the case.
