Bapic new V.P. of Latin America

Swiss luxury watchmaker Audemars Piguet announced Jan. 7 that Jasmine Bapic is its new “Vice President of Latin America,” effective Feb. 1, and will oversee expansion efforts of “Audemars Piguet, The Americas” in Latin American markets.

She succeeds Antonio Seward, who was named chief executive officer of Audemars Piguet Spain, “For quite some time, I have recognized Jasmine's considerable talent and contribution to the company,” said Francois-Henry Bennahmias, president and CEO of Audemars Piguet, The Americas, in making the announcement. “When time came to fill the position of V.P. of Latin America, she was a natural choice.” Her expertise “will further Audemars Piguet's brand share” in those markets, he said.

In her new position, Ms. Bapic will be based in the brand's Latin American office in Miami, Florida, USA, and oversee its sales and marketing efforts in South America, Mexico, and the Caribbean. She will report directly to Bennahmias.  .  
Jasmine Bapic was manager of the Audemars Piguet Boutique in Bal Harbour, Florida, since October 2008.  Before that, she was its USA East Coast sales representative, where she was “an integral part of the high revenue growth achievements” there, notes a company statement, and “helped create many organizational standards currently used daily within the company.” 

Earlier, she was Director of Marketing Worldwide for TechnoMarine, and held posts with Parmigiani Fleurier and Montres Corum SA.

Ms. Bapic comes from a family of watchmakers: her father is a second-generation watchmaker and her mother's family manufactured watch cases.
Founded in 1875 in the Swiss village of Le Brassus, Audemars Piguet is the oldest manufacturer of Haute Horlogerie still in the hands of its founding families. It opened its new flagship boutique on 57th Street in New York City in September 2009.
